Dx11 or Dx21 Quandary

Hi all....I already have a DX100 which will be a keeper for me.

I'm about to either get a DX11 or DX21...I'm very into early Chicago house and I know Derek May had used the 21 and 100.

I'm worried that if I get the 11 I will not be able to blend two sounds into one as the DX21 has dual mode.

The DX11 is multitimbral but can you still blend the sounds in the same way I'm wondering.

Please could I have your thoughts on this matter.

Yes, the DX11 can blend sounds in multi mode. It also has a more sophisticated 4-op engine, operators can use non-sine waveforms which is a big deal. It's also responsive to both velocity and aftertouch.

Nice one meatball....you've made my mind up and I think that the sounds would be a different mix.

Would you happen to know if the DX21 and DX100 patch sounds are exactly the same..?

Are you asking about the factory presets? I have no idea.

The patch data format is the same for the DX21, DX27 and DX100 so patches can be exchanged freely between machines.
