Line noise in Kurzweil K2000

Post by hudkins » Thu Feb 20, 2020 7:04 am

I have a Kurzweil K2000 with noise in the line level mix outputs. A 60hz hum and some low level static. I recently acquired the synth. I've checked as many grounds as I could find and they seem alright. What else can I look at? Would recapping be a good idea? What else can I look at?

My synth repair knowledge on a scale of one to ten is about a 3.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Concerning the hum issue , sounds like a problem with the filter caps in the power supply.
About the static noise, it should be the infamous output JFETS dying.
It is all about sharing...
