Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Really though, I know I am probably beating a dead horse by saying this again, but thank you for your help all through this process. At the very least, it's been a good learning experience for me. I emailed Mr. Butchy in Germany a few days ago, but I don't know when I'll receive a response with covid going on.

As you said, it is mostly functional, so we can at least use it. However, having 3 of 4 envelopes be unaccessable is quite restricting. I have reached out to syntaur and keyboard country to try and get on the list for a 6500/11 chip or entire display board whenever the get one in stock. One question I have is if we can source a display board, but of a different revision (like B or C), should that work in our SQ-80 even though it originally incorporated a Rev A board?

Has anyone heard from him recently? I've sent a couple emails over the past 2 weeks, but have received no reply. I figure he may not be doing business during Covid, but I don't know for sure. I would love to get this thing back to 100% =D>

More information please. Describe the data on the display screen. Do SOME of the panel buttons work? Does the synth make sounds based on the keys pressed? Sounds to me (from afar!) like a combination of dirty connectors and worn out buttons.

Great news! I was able to get in touch with Mr. Butchy and get his kit to replace the 6500/11. Covid made shipping more difficult, but I am happy to report that I received it and just completed the install. The SQ-80 is now working like a dream!

Thank you for everyone who helped me keep this amazing instrument going strong!
