Roland U-20 Factory Configuration

Postby smokinleroy » Mon Nov 20, 2006 9:43 pm

I have a Roland U-20 that after I re-initialize the memory, will only play a standard piano sound. If I try to select another patch, the display gets garbled, and there is no sound, except sometimes I get a whacky piano patch where only a few keys do anything. The only way to get sound again is to re-init memory. All self-tests appear to pass. I'm thinking I need to re-load the factory config. I know this can be done using a ROM card, but can it be done through SysEx.? Dose this sound like the solution? Where can I find the needed files? Any other advice?

Hi!

I've got the U-20 factory patches. I can send you a zip file by email if you still need it. I also own the complete U-20 service manual. That I cannot send it for free. I sell it $7.00 Can for the PDF (scan by myself). I've got more Service manuals available on my website: www.MuzikElektronix.com > Services > Services Manuals
