Post by PUFFblue » Tue Dec 19, 2006 11:02 pm

hi there folks

all i own is a microkorg and im looking to get a rythym section that is completly tweakable in its rythym and tone along with some f**k up effects. honestly i want some random and circuit bent but ive been looking at the korg electribes as a simple option. is that a good idea for a drum machine type whathaveyou? i was checkin out the SX and KORG electribe mkII

the Korg ER1 is quick, easy, fun and cheap. I think the most complaints are it's overall "thin" sound and it's rather weak snare sounds.

I love my Er mkII, I don't use it often because most of my drum sounds come from Ableton, but I love my Electribe anyway.

Its really fun for live tweaking to get some really odd sounds.

its about how much money do you want to spend? play play play them 1st..you can get a decent drum machine then run thru a nasty filter...I dont know...I am just a dummy who loves his machinedrum and SQ drumtrack

another vote for ER-1. put it into a fuzz box or something sounds great.

might need another cheepy for good snare/claps, that's what i use the korg ddd-1 for very crunchy.

good combo, that
