I try to work as fast and as precisely as it's physically possible. I hate to make people wait for their stuf so I always try to get their stuff repaired as soon as possible... And I need the money tooBTW, if i bring you the Wavestation for cleanup and regreasing, how long would it take? I don't mean in hours but when would i get it back?
I try to work fast but I do not butcher jobs. I'd rather slow down a bit and make it correctly. That's one of the Muzik Elektronix's policies: we don't do c**p jobs.
When a problem is not too complicated or requires exotic parts, I do it in the same day upon reception.
When it's more serious and requires special attention, a few days.
When it's an hair-pulling drive-me-mad puzzle (Like Xonox's, Tallowaters' or DJFetus' synths), that can take a few weeks. Even a month if I've got hard-time finding the needed parts or documentations (it happens from time to time and got absolutely no control over this, unfortunately).
I keep constant communication with my customers. Nobody is left in the dark and I try to explain to the best of my ability what's what with the synth.
Important point: I only charge WHEN I work on it. Nothing else. I've seen cases where customers have been charged 2 weeks of labor to change a fuse! I don't do this and Muzik Elektronix is not one of those guys.
I'll be more than happy to welcome you guy in my humble repairshop. Please let me know when it'll happen so that I can be there. I've got responsabilities (amdministrative and such) over my head (and work too) so I am ofter called elsewhere.
