Moog MG-1 Repair

Post by domminicus » Fri Jun 15, 2007 5:42 am

So in the studio that I'm interning at, somebody just dug out an old mg-1 that doesn't work. I popped it open and the main transformer is missing. (Also one of the IC's looks like it might possibly be fried, and some quack pulled all of the connectors out of their sockets, but one step at a time here) I did some research and the transformer is apparently a 38 volt AC. I can't seem to find anywhere that sells them online. Anyone know where I might be able to find one? Would it be easier just to wait for another broken mg-1 to pop up on ebay and use it for parts...?

I would check radioshack online catalog of electronic parts, its not a total shot in the dark....from what I read moog made them the mg-1 in exchange that electronic replacement parts could be purchased forever....ever radioshack I have been in has moog style knobs on site, so....if mouser doesnt have it, the shack may...
