korg kpr77 help needed

Post by minime123 » Mon Aug 20, 2007 2:26 am

hi guys.

we have 2 korg kpr77s - an instrument i really like but havent spent any serious time with - and theyre both exhibiting the same "strange" behavior which i assume are due to user error. i browsed the manual but id like to not ruin my sunday evening (any more than i already have) :)

currently the patterns in both are scrambled as they havent had batteries in them for a long time. im trying to clear and write a pattern in realtime.

i erased all instruments, reassigned resolution and then length.

when i start writing, in basic mode, it records as it should, but it seems like theres some kind of chain (song mode) or multi-bar pattern issue going on - after the first 4 beat part, other new pattern.

So my question is why isnt erase all inst's working? is this only a per measure pattern erase or am i stuck in a chain mode? if someone could please give guide me through initializing a (or all) corrupt pattern/s and recording a simple 1 bar rhythm, id be very grateful.

thanks

That's a quite interesting question. I only saw those but never read the owner's manual. Well, I don't own the user manual nor the service manual (if someone has them, please contact me!)

I'll give it a look mini and will come back to you.

Mine had the same behavior. I remember I had to put batteries in it to get it work, and look at the manual to change the patterns resolution & lenght. I'm on hollydays now, I'll check & tell you how I did when I'm back in Paris :D
