Tuning a sequential Six Trak voice?

Postby liquidzen » Mon Aug 27, 2007 11:51 pm

Hello... I just bought a Six Trak. voices 3 and 5 are a few cents out. I can easily tune My oberheim OB8 by opening the top panel and adjusting the tuning attenuator with a screw driver. Does anyone know if the Six Trak is the same? If not, your help would be great. Thanks!!!

I assume you have done the auto-tune? Hit Control Rec and then hit 6

The MultiTrak does not and I think the SixTrak is the same in this aspect. All tuning of the voices is done by the CPU.

Get the service manual here: http://dl.analoghell.com/index.cfm?id=108&dl

And go to page 8 & ssq for the tuning procedure.

This thread should go to HELP! not in General Synthesizers.

Re: Tuning a sequential Six Trak voice?

I know this is a very old thread but I am experiencing a very similar problem with my Six Trak.

Using the Test Routine I have identified that voice 2 is consistently tuned significantly lower than the other 5 voices however the routine only seems to describe how to identify any tuning discrepancies and not how to fix them.

Using the Record + 6 auto tune procedure I will often find the numbers racing past (indicating that the synth is already in tune) only for the problem to persist.

Any ideas?

Cecil, this was a few years ago, but did you have any luck here? I'm also a few cents out on two voices.
