Korg Polysix Problem

Post by jupiler » Wed Jan 02, 2008 12:12 pm

My Korg Polysix works good , exept the Octave pot on the Vco section , impossible to change the octave !!!
Strange problem cause everithing else is working perfect .
Do you know this problem ? Do you think just changing the pot will be good ?

You should check pot connections first

Octave is a 3-position rotary switch on the Polysix, not a pot. But the suggestion remains, check the connections on the switch. A broken solder joint or dirty/faulty switch could make it not work.
Two VCO: thanks to the push rods, one can choose several forms of waves at the same time!

Try http://www.vintageplanet.nl/ He´s got the 3-way rotary switch for sale.

But before you start replacing the switch, try checking it with a ohm-meter.
