CS-5 to MG-1 cv

So I recently got a Yamaha CS-5 and it's great, but one of the reasons I picked this particular synth was the control voltage capabilities. Only thing is that it won't communicate with my MG-1 properly. Appearently moog and yamaha used different standards... I looked it up online and I'm pretty sure they just aren't compatable, but I was wondering if there is some kind of trick or coversion box to make it work? Maybe something simple I could build? Am I just out of luck?

Thanks in advance

Korg MS-02. It does Hz/V to V/Oct and vice versa. Don't think they're that common though. The schematic's around online somewhere. I'm not sure what gate the MG-1 uses; same as the Rogue? Which might work with the CS, it depends - the CS isn't a true S-trig, and my CS-5 has trouble with S-trig outputs, but my CS-15 doesn't. Yamaha's spec for the CS gate is something like 3 to 15V for off, 0 to -7V for on, whereas the Moog just shorts to ground for note on.

You could buy both of those synths twice and have plenty of money left over for that much cash.

Is that what they usually cost? Seems kind of crazy.
