Jupiter-4 with aluminum sides?

Post by ApolloBoy » Wed Jul 15, 2009 8:54 am

Is it possible to replace the particle board end cheeks on a Jupiter-4 with aluminum ones? I think the JP-4 would look awesome with aluminum sides, just like the Jupiter-6/8.

With the right tools, anything is possible.

I don't know that aluminum end panels would look "right" on a JP-4 though.
Two VCO: thanks to the push rods, one can choose several forms of waves at the same time!

Anything is possible, but the JP-4's wood sides do not screw off like many other synths' wood sides. The JP-4's wood sides are glued to the rear board and possibly the bottom board.

If you want to de-value your Jupiter-4, go right ahead....

Well, I don't plan on actually doing it, just wondering if it's possible. Besides, I don't plan on selling my Jupiter-4 anytime soon so that wouldn't matter. :D
