Korg M1 repair viability

Post by neilmac » Mon Aug 17, 2009 8:20 pm

Hi there, Just got my old but lovely M1 back and it needs repairs. The outputs and headhone socket crackle and are virtually unusable and the programme buttons stick in edit mode meaning i have to switch off to reset. I just wondered if anyone could give advice as to viability of getting it repaired, or consigning it to Keyboard Paradise. Thanks

About the crackles, it could be either some transistors or op-amps in the output circuit (can't say which atm, I don't have the service manual with me right now). This problem is no biggie, as long as you have a little knowledge in electronics.

And the program button, it must me just a tact switch to replace. It is just worn out.

Hope that helps
