Oberheim DX Buttons: How to Clean, or Where to Get New Ones

Post by analoglsd » Sun Sep 06, 2009 11:33 pm

HI,
I've got an Oberheim DX drum machine, and several of the buttons are acting wonky.
They either need to be pressed too hard to get them to trigger, or they'll trigger too much when touched lightly.
I desoldered one of them and couldn't figure out how to open it up with out breaking it, so I just resoldered it.
Any tips, such as how to fix the buttons, or where to buy new ones?
Thanks.

If you haven't figured this out yet, then go to http://www.electrongate.com/dmxfiles/

Lots of DMX/DX information there. How to clean the buttons, parts for sale, etc.
