Re: Yamaha TX81z Questions?
Arp: Dont have to do anything as long as the controlling device sends arp out as midi
Breath controller: No breath controller input on the TX81z. My DX7 had one and the other keyboards may but none of the rack units do (I have a TX802 also)
grab this thing btw:

Assign aftertouch to it. Details are in the manual.

Breath control is just MIDI CC #2.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Re: Yamaha TX81z Questions?
Hey, I might chime in a bit late but I use tx81z with my ewi. It is responding well to CC2 if you know how to program it. You can buy the soundbank for it here: http://www.patchmanmusic.com/yamahaTX81Z.html
Matt is the best programmer for wind/breath controllers along Judd Miller, Sal Galina etc.
Good luck,
