DS-8 Issue

Post by retrosounds » Fri Nov 13, 2009 8:28 pm

My korg DS-8 is having a weird problem.
Some of the patches don't sound like they used to and the names have changed (Weird symbols in them, missing characters, switched characters, etc.).
I only left it alone for 1 week and it was doing fine before last night when I went to play with it.
And some of the patches have invalid values. For example, the pitch bend is supposed to go from 1 to 12...When I checked the patch it was set at 66 (!).
Is it possible that the battery for the memory might be dying and corrupting the patches and causing these weird problems?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks :)

Yep, the battery would be the first thing I'd check (it's also the cheapest possibility, so you'd want to try that first).
