EML 101 External Control?

Post by roland4387 » Fri Apr 23, 2010 6:47 pm

Sorry mods, I jumped the gun and put this in the general synthesizers category, my bad.

Got my EML 101 yesterday and was wondering if anybody can help with sequencing it with either a 303 or a Mobius. It's been 13 years since I last used one and my memory is shot! I have no recollection of how I used to do it. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated!

There's two big obstacles you are going to face. The first is that you need to buy or build something that will scale your control voltages to 1.2 V/octave, which is what the EML uses. The second one is actually getting the control voltage into the 101. I'll post something later on that -- got no access to it right now.
Switches, knobs, buttons, LEDs, LCD screens, monitors, keys, mice, jacks, sockets. Now two joysticks!
