MIDI Sysex to/from Prophet 600

Post by wrekkstylz » Fri Nov 19, 2010 3:55 am

I'm using MID-OX 16

I'm trying to load these other patches for the p-600

http://www.vintagesynth.com/sci/p600.php - Courtesy of NoteIt, here are several custom Prophet 600 Midi SysEx patches for Macintosh and Windows/PC.

so I downloaded the file. and then in it there's a text file that says.....

The information is in sysex format. Just send it to your Prophet 600 and you will have 100 new voices.

This is proving to be rather difficult.
So how do I do this?

Do you have a sysex librarian? If not, you'll need to download one first. Then load them into the librarian and read the Prophet 600's manual to figure out how to receive them on the board.

try bome's sendSX. MidiOX can be a little fiddley with sysex. If there is a write protect on the 600, make sure it is off
