Hello VC, could anybody recommend people who modify these analogue synths (preferably tried and tested):

Roland SH-101
Roland TB-303 (apart from Devilfish)
Roland TR-808

Mainly modifications for MIDI functionality, I have checked Google but get flooded with lots of results :-(

Cheers

I'd suggest you trawl through those google links first of all probably best to get familiar with the different options. Try adding 'midi' to the synth name to get better results ;)

also, where are you based? No point in recommending overseas mods if you aren't prepared to ship...

I had the Kenton MIDI kit installed on my TR-808 nearly 17 years ago. First, I had a buddy of mine work on it (because I could not afford a tech back then) and then let a real tech finish the job.

Not sure I would add MIDI to SH-101 or TB-303. You can easily control a 101 with a MIDI to CV/Gate converter. The "magic" of the 303 is its sequencer. I'd recommend just getting a MIDI to DIN sync converter.

Well if you're in chicago area, I gotta guy that does all my stuff. He modded my poly800, repaired my micromoog and cz5000, and at the moment is turning my monotron into a mini modular synth. I could pm/email his contact info if your interested
