ESX Factory Programs
After extensive google searching, I couldnt find a way to do this.
I want to reset the programs on the esx, not the samples.
I presume you can do this via midi dump of some file, somehow.
Just asking if anyone had done this before, and if so, how?

Re: ESX Factory Programs
page 99 shows how to initialize it, erasing everything so you can start w/ a clean slate. looks like there may not be a way to restore its original patterns, but i know personally i would want to erase all of those asap regardless...

I have the files, 17.6 mb, but its a .ESX file, that i have no idea what to do with.
And your post made me laugh, i cringed time and time again through those voice samples.

Re: ESX Factory Programs
i actually never put anything on that one, nor did anything w/ it beyond making sure it worked.
and you're both right, there ARE some fun stock samples in there, i'd just kind of prefer starting w/ a clean slate & making myself put what i want in there. don't blame you at all for wanting to save some samples it came w/ though. if you can't figure out some other way, just record them to your computer and make your own files to put back in after the init.

Re: ESX Factory Programs
.esx file needs to be put onto the smartmedia card, then on the esx go to global, press shift+16 (load), select ALL (press 16 again to select, use encoder to change), select the correct esx file..
I suggest you download the manual as well..

Re: ESX Factory Programs
It's a good investment anyway... sampling by hand takes a long, long, long, long time!
