Is there an editor that makes this possible?

I keep reading about the EMX being backwards compatible, but I think this is in regards to the older SM EMX...

i haven't heard of any editors for the EA/ER-1, let alone any that convert them to the EMX. Perhaps the best bet would be recording over midi for the EA/EMX conversion.

I don't know much about them, but have you tried a MIDI dump from the EA-1 to the EMX?
