this should work (heck it's the one I just bought for my fizmo, so we're both getting fried if it's wrong):

the psu for my fizmo had the option of negative or positive, which one should i choose?

There is no negative and positive with AC!!

So what's the output voltage and current rating? Is it AC or DC? See post above by garranimal.

Then what do you mean by "positive" and "negative"?
AC doesn't have a +/- like DC does.

its a AC-AC adapter and you can choose between a positive tip or a negative tip

As meatballfulton said, AC power supplies have no polarity.
Obviously the power supply you have is not original and probably it has a generic enclosure that Chinese manufacturers use for both AC and DC psu's.
Whatever the polarity is set, it will work.
