HI Guys, Im not the most technical when it comes to repairs. Is it possible and is it tough to repair this rom chip? Could a quick solder job do the trick?

If you are talking about the broken pin, you dont have to worry thats an easy fix.
You can solder a wire there, just make sure that the wire fits the eprom socket first.
Also try not to heat the eprom too much.
Here is an example of an eprom that had one pin completely broken off:

Sweet thanks I appreciate it. Can I use standard partial lead solder wire?

hmm, no i would not recommend solder wire because it can be bend easily, it needs to be more rigid.
If you are out of ideas , try a staple.
It is good to tin both parts before soldering.

Use the leg off a resistor or small diode. They are all ready tinned and easy to use as well as easy to shape if required
