Korg NS5R hiss?

Post by Zack McConnell » Sat Feb 04, 2012 5:01 am

Hey guys, long time no see. :3

Anyway I bought another Korg synth, the Korg NS5R and I absolutely LOVE IT! :3 It has an amazing sample set (WATERPHONE HELLS YES!) and building your own sounds is very straightforward (glad I have the manual!).

The only problem is that I don't have a mixer, so I have to record with the PHONES out, and this is hissy as h**l.

Is there any way I could fix this (change the amp, change the DAC, etc..) or am I just going to have to use the rear outs and buy a mixer (or just buy an N5EX and be done with the NS5R)?

Thanks. :3

Why aren't you using the main outs now?
Keys: Realistic Concertmate 500, Korg K25, Korg Micro X

Guits: '86 Fender Japan '50s Reissue Strat, '80 Aria Pro II TS-300 Thor Sound

Hi, thanks for the reply! I'm not using the main outs because they're the big kind of jack (I'm a n00b lol) and my PC audio in is a minijack. I'm using a shielded minijack to minijack cable.
