Stupid E-mu Vintage Pro Question

Post by analoglsd » Sat Oct 27, 2012 5:51 am

So I can't get my e-mu Vintage Pro to change presets.
Well, the presets will change in the menu window, but the sounds won't change.
I've run into this problem and solved it in the past, but can't figure it out now.
Please help.
Thanks.

sounds to me like you may be on the wrong midi channel/part?
The EMU 2000's are always in "performance" mode and have all 16 channels available to you at all times. I haven't owned one for a while so I can't walk you through it too well - but, check that the channel you are on on the proteus (top left of screen) is the same as your controllers channel .
hope this helps the problem - these kinds of simple things that get overlooked always drive me absolutely crazy and eat up hours of time needlessly.

YES.
Thank you! The MIDI wasn't in Omni Mode, so the presets wouldn't engage when I changed them.
