Machine drum midi question.

Post by BlackGnosis » Tue Dec 18, 2012 3:29 pm

Can a machine drum play both its native patches polyphonic and control something in multiple channels in poly also? (like sequencing a keyboard in polyphonic with the machine drum providing drums?)
or is it like a EMX-1 where it can play play each channel monophonically?

I read that it can play its drum patches in poly, but controlling outside devices are a mystery.

It can send upto 3 simultaneous notes per step on upto 16 channels. Every external midi track uses 1 machine, so if you want to sequence 4 external midi devices it'll use 4 midi machines, leaving 12 tracks available for it's internal voices.

It's very much a step sequencer, so you can't record into it, all notes triggered on a step have the same start time, velocity and duration.

It's internal machines/tracks are monophonic.
