Crumar Bit/ LEM/ Unique DBK conductive key springs.

Post by Frayo » Mon Feb 04, 2013 3:21 am

This is specifically about the Unique DBK. I've heard, though, it's the exact same as a Crumar Bit 01, Bit 99, and LEM Bit 99.

If you've cracked open one of these, you know what I'm talking about.

It's a spring that's soldered to the board, and on the bottom of the keybed is an electrical contact. On the bottom of the key itself is the other end of the spring, and when the key is played, the spring touches the electrical contact.

I am wondering, is this a specific part unique (no pun intended) to the DBK, or can I use something else? Also, what exactly would I be looking for- and where could I find it?

If you want a picture, I could get you one- However, I am terrible at taking pictures- and I don't own a decent camera.

Don't know exactly what they look like, but my input would be the ones from an Ensoniq ESQ-1.
