Roland SynthPlus 10 or Alpha Juno 1

Postby radiobot » Sat Nov 30, 2013 5:51 am

I have a rare roland Synth its a SyntPlus 10, its suppose to be the same internals as the Alpha Juno 1, the problem with it is that is detuned, i remember some years ago to open it to see if something could be modded and found some variable resistors over the mainboard and changed the values but nothing important happened. Days later the tones were downtuned (B sounds on A, A sounds on G, E sounds on D, etc. since some days ago been troubleshooting but cannot find any solution, the variable resistors does not affect the tunning, does somebody have heard about this problem, please help!!!

Welcome to the board!
The pots have nothing to do with the tuning. Set them back where they were.

Press "TUNE/EDIT" once and you should see the TUNE page. Use the data wheel to see if it will change. Should be set at 440. NOTE: You MAY have to WRITE the new tuning into memory to save it.
If it is off, but can be reset, then think dying battery.
If no joy, check the 12mHz crystal.
The Juno 1 and 2 use digital tone generation so you might want to try a reset.WARNING!!! YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR PATCHES !!!!!!!! BACK THEM UP FIRST!!!!!!

With power ON, set the memory protect switch to OFF
Turn off power
While holding, turn the power back on.
