Yamaha TX816 sounds
Does anyone know where I can find the original factory sounds for the Yamaha TX816 rack or where patches can be obtained? I've contacted Yamaha and have not heard back. I know the modules can be programmed by MOTU Unisyn and similar programs and the DX7 itself. But, are sounds available online for download? Can the sounds be dumped to the modules via sys/ex from a standard sequencer Pro/Tools, DP. Logic, etc. Appreciate any advice. I'm selling the unit and don't want to screw someone over when they buy it.

Yes, the sound are available online. A Google search would have pointed you this page for sure:

Don't know if a sequencer would work, but a patch editor/librairian would do. Try Midi Ox.

Re: Yamaha TX816 sounds
Hi to synthRodriguez
I'm looking for the original patches for the TX816. Do you still have them, and if so could you possibly PM them to me?
I've only just joined this forum so it won't let me see your PM or I would have PM'd you on this.
Cheers,
SledDriver

Re: Yamaha TX816 sounds
These sounds were popular in Soviet pop music. For example, this is "???????? ???" - famous pop band in USSR (the song is in Russian language, USSR, 1988)
Re: Yamaha TX816 sounds
I found a website within the last year or so that probably has every sound ever released for the DX7 (TX816). I don't have a link, but if you google DX7 patches or DX7 sysex, you should find it.
