My Virus TI Sounds Terrible - Video Uploaded

Post by rob_lee » Wed Dec 18, 2013 1:32 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone have a problem with the sound from their Virus TI? I made a short video below describing what i'm hearing whilst using the Virus via the USB for audio with the Virus Control plug-in.
The sound is terrible whilst using the Hypersaw here i'm not sure what's up. I must say this horrible sound does not happen whilst using the Virus and its audio outs. I'd like to hear if anyone else has this issue. Even when i apply the high eq within the Virus the horrible sound is more noticeable. I already posted on the Access forum so lets see what they say.

My Virus sounds like a cheap soft synth here and is unusable in USB mode.

Cheers

Hi mate, i didn't save the patch i just started from an init patch. The thing is i can reproduce this every time.
I posted here and someone else has the same problem as me. I'm sure others do too.

ACCESS FORUM

Iv'e tried with a few audio interfaces as well and its down to the USB side of things as the ti2 is perfect whilst just using the audio outs on the back of the unit.

Computer? OS?

Hmm, what's the "terrible" part????
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Macbook Pro 2013 OS Mavericks.. computer plus OS nothing to do with it though i also tested on a Windows machine and sounds the same. Other users have this issue as well. All is well when using the Virus audio outs and midi. Its the USB integration that sucks.
If you watch the video you can hear the sound is not right. It might as well be some freebie soft synth the way this sounds.
Anyways i unhooked the USB and now using the audio outs and now its pristine sound. Point is that the USB don't work as it says on the tin and an expensive tin this was :-)
