Source for obsolete IC's?

Post by Europanaut » Thu Mar 20, 2014 2:09 am

I'm in need of a couple of IC's for my Arp Quartet repair (MC14071 CMOS Quad 2 input OR gates), and my regular supplier doesn't carry them.

Any suggestions on where to go next?

Thanks!

MC14071 is Motorola part number, however you don't have to use exactly their chip. Just look for the 4071 or CD4071 - these are more common numbers for this part.

Indeed, CD4071BE's will work and are available new from most distributors.
