Re: knob encrusted midi keyboard?
Nothing really deserving attention, IMHO.
Novation Remote SL mkII (9 sliders + 16 knobs + joystick + XY pad), and add a Behringer BCR-2000 on top?
Or maybe not a BCR-2000, but an iPad with something like MidiOsc or other popular strains of touchscreen controller hosts. You can probably fit more controls on the screen, but you remain limited to its 10-point multitouch.
Studiologic Sledge as a controller?

I don't like the drums, but the drums like me!

Novation X-Station is also good, with the added benefit of a built-in KS synthesizer voice and 8 note polyphony and a USB audio interface with powered XLR sockets. Also Novation keyboards in general are the best around and have very good aftertouch.
Nymph, in thy orisons be all my synths remembered.

Re: knob encrusted midi keyboard?
the Novation remote 37sl/61sl seemed to be the best option until I discovered the Korg MS2000 as a midi controller.
so far it's worked great since it has a good number of knobs, and most importantly you can change what cc# each knob sends. also the buttons send cc information as well. a number of my other synths buttons do not.
finally it looks way better on stage than a bland, slate gray midi controller
