SSM2044 chip help

Post by nonsuchpro » Mon Sep 08, 2014 10:12 am

Hey All.

I'm definitely pulling my hair out over this simple LPF circuit. I'm about to say I have a bad chip. So before I give up on it, I'd like to see if anybody has any experience with the SSM2044. I'm not getting anything out of it pre op-amp, the op amp is working. It's getting the correct voltages but, it just feels dead. What would be good is if someone knows the voltages, etc on each pin when working properly. I've build many LPFs based on the LM13600/Lm13700, Ca3080, even a TL702 and they all work perfectly. This is a dedicated LPF and it's giving me no joy :/
Thanks in advance!

Did you get that SSM2044 from one of those China based ebay chip sellers? Looks kind of like it could be a black-topped fake. The date code and labeling look suspicious. Do you have another SSM2044 you can try?

c**p. Yes I did. They claim it's genuine. The price was definitely "right". But the person has (72,474) @ 99.4% Positive. If he/she is doling out bad chips you'd think they would have a worse rating or even be gone. Unfortunately, I only bought 1 and it was only because I bought other chips and was just browsing their stock. Here's the link:

Thanks for the reply!

What supply voltages are you feeding the chip?
