Emax Front Panel Peeling Off!!

Postby sandwich » Mon Jun 29, 2015 3:03 pm

Has anyone else had this happen on their Emax?

The matt coating on the front control panel of my Emax keyboard has been bubbling and peeling off for years and now there is a very large patch where it has come off completely.

I know it doesn’t effect performance in any way but I’m one of those that likes to keep my stuff pristine and like new. And, to be quite honest, it just really bugs me!! It looks really unsightly where its bubbling and the plastic underneath is very shiny. I think this coating also protects the lettering because where it has come off completely you can see that the letters are raised and exposed.

Does anyone know what this coating is? Or if there is something similar that I could use to restore it?

Thanks for any advice ;-)

Unfortunately he had no info about it but thanks anyway. I think I might try Satin Clear Acrylic by Plastikote on an unseen patch underneath to see how it takes. I don't really want to just leave it because the lettering that is now exposed is vulnerable.
