Identifying Encoders/Pots on DSI products

Post by tomorrowstops » Fri Dec 18, 2015 5:38 pm

Just bought a Mono Evolver advertised as a PE edition. Pretty sure it has encoders though. All the stems are plastic. All of the controls are endless. Values kind of skip around a little, although working them seems to clear it up a bit. Sounds like encoders, though, doesn't it? I looked at one video of someone replacing encoder boards with pot boards and the stems are metal on the pot boards. Any other way to identify what I have? I specifically wanted a pot edition, so I'm a little irked that I may not have gotten what was advertised!

If all the controls are endless then you did not get a PE version.
