Korg DW8000: Aftertouch problem

Postby klavix » Mon Jan 02, 2017 10:33 pm

The aftertouch strip of my synth is fully consumed and the black rubber below the felt began to flake off. I can't find the spare parts anywhere.
Is there a way to rebuild the strip, replacing the rubber? Or would it be possible to adapt the piece of any other synth?
Have any of you had a similar experience?

Yes!
It can be done. (AN1x, JX8P, JD800 spares for example, as they have this aftertouch sensor as a long strip.

However it is more than combining the used materials and there is no direct fit, but with time and patience you get it working.

Thanks a lot for the answer!
I obtained the aftertouch strip of a Yamaha SY99. It could be a solution? Assuming that it is compatible, then I guess I'll have to take action on the sensitivity response of the circuit...
