arpeggiator and Juno 106 issue?

Post by clegg » Wed Jan 25, 2017 6:15 pm

Kinda specific question but hopefully someone can help.

I use my Europa Jupiter 6 and a Microkorg as my controllers. They go into my mpc2000XL and out to the Juno.

If I use the Jupiter's arpeggiator and only repeat 1 note, the juno will occasionally skip it a note (occasionally as in it'll catch 5 out of 8 notes if arp is in 8ths). If I play 2 notes, it's perfect (even playing 32nds) by jumping from one note to the next.

If I use the microkorg it works fine, and if I use the jupiter on any other synth it works fine.

It's only an issue on the jup with the 106 when playing 1 note only. any ideas?

Have you tried it in both Poly 1 and Poly 2?
Switches, knobs, buttons, LEDs, LCD screens, monitors, keys, mice, jacks, sockets. Now two joysticks!

Okay, hmm. I'll experiment with mine. Kind of sounds like a voice allocation issue. I think the 106 tries to avoid assigning two voices to the same note. I'd be curious to see a MIDI dump of what the Jupiter's arpeggiator is putting out.
