After years of being a Vox guy, I've finally converted to being a Fender guy...This is my new 1980 Fender 30, one of their last point-to-point production amps.

MORE FENDER!!!

Just acquired a 1969 Bandmaster Reverb Amp, including all but one original tubes!

And I got a couple of those little Mooer pedals, one based on a Rat and one based on an OCD.

The whole rig...

Thanks. So far so good. Sold build quality. The Black Secret does the Rat thing very well and has a switch for Turbo Rat mode. The Hustle Drive can be a good transparent boost to drive an amp or a full-on overdrive but still with clarity and fuzzy around the edges. Which did you order?

Nice. Yeah, same size as the Malekko minis. I got mine half off. Had to wait 2-3 wow for them to arrive on the slow boat from China but I'm happy I got them. How are you liking yours?

They were considered better than both Fender & Vox at the time and their original price reflected that !

They certainly look sexy!
Were all of his amps solid state?

I think they were.

So, a few changes. Bluesbreaker is gone  Replaced by this badass in April 2013:

No more strymon Timeline (sold it within a week) or Keeley Comp.

Here is my current pedal board:

Image

Guitar--> DOD250 --> POG --> POG --> DSD2 --> (DD3 or Dispatch Master) --> CE5 --> Box of Rock --> Channel A --> Pro Junior --> Channel B --> DOD308 --> Burns Orbit (this is my tremolo and treble channel)

The FS6 was returned so I could buy two mini momentary switches for more room on the board for a second POG and Dispatch master down the road. One switch controls the play/stop on the MPC60 and the other is for next seq on the MPC60. All live drums come from a set of 35 drums on an MPC60. I convert songs to sequences, and can adjust the set list each night.

On the way is also a stutter pedal, as I think I will be able to get a lot of nice rhythmic sounds with my playing style.

I find that spending so much time on synthesizers has really influenced my guitar playing. IE I am doing a lot more legato stuff, a lot more quick hits, lots of abrupt stops etc.

I've recently gotten back into bass (I used to dabble years ago but never got much of anyplace with it,) and since I'm gonna have calluses anyway, I've started to branch out into guitar as well...

Image
Left to right: the cheap Jazz Bass clone I got as a knockoff kit which wouldn't fit together right no matter how much I adjusted it, the '90s Ibanez from a pawn shop which is really not a bad little instrument but desperately needs new pots and some adjustment, and the less cheap Rondo SX Jazz Bass clone which is utterly friggin' sweet and by some lunatic wizardry only costs like $200 new despite being built like a rock with a solid ash body and sounding great.

Image
And the guitars: a little Stratocaster clone I got at a swap meet from a seller who spun a lovely little tale about it being designed by an ex-Gibson luthier which is totally impossible to verify because it's made by Drive (the amp manufacturer) and Googling "drive stratocaster clone" gets you fourteen billion pages about people's preferred overdrive settings on their amplifiers, and an Epiphone Les Paul which I got a good deal on because the guy's wife was making him sell it and is also friggin' sweet.

Still looking for a good deal on a decent amp, and of course I'm still working on being able to play for s**t, but I'm definitely enjoying this :)
