Some Future Retro XS examples here:
http://virb.com/mangros
Mostly long and with analogue delay.
The last file has no XS audio - instead it's sending note CV/gate to the SH-2 and envelope CV to the Resonator. Resonator output goes through a PH-1r. Very squeaky!

Some time ago, I traded my Midimini for a Moog Voyager. The Voyager is noticeably tamer than the Midimini, but great sounding nevertheless. We also got an Empirical Labs Fatso Jr. to our bands studio very recently. Pairing the Fatso with the Voyager was one of the first things I wanted try.
Here's what I came up with. I wanted to make a similar demo to my Midimini demo (see older posts in this thread) to roughly compare how the Vger+Fatso can compare to the Midimini. The result is still different from the old Minimoog sound, and I only used light coloring on the Fatso, but imo it really gave the Vger some of that "extra kick over the cliff"

Personally I love the strings, pads and jungle samples used on the synth. The EX5 is great for complex harmonies.
I must quit drinking so much before the live acts

I mean pops as in 'errors', the kind you get when ripping an old CD and encoding it as MP3. Or at least, that's what I got with this MP3..

Re: Synth examples, post them here.
I love the sounds from Casio CZ's specially the CZ-1, it's my top 2 synth ! And is going to be my next (and 2nd last) synth purchase for my "basic" synth set-up .bendragon wrote:Who would I contact if I wanted to add an audio demo to a synth page?
The demo's for the Casio CZ range are deplorable at best and don't show off what the CZs can really do. I've got loads of youtube videos and I've just finished an audio demo of my CZ3000 that could be used.
Casio CZ-3000 audio demo at zShare
In this demo no external effects are used, this is all the CZ-3000. The only exception is the last patch which has stereo delay applied (bonus points if you can guess the song used for this patch). All the patches have the CZ's internal chorus unit applied. I've gotten some very analogue like sounds of my CZ
The sweeping strings and the faux DX7 e-Piano are my favorites of the bunch.
Sorry that some of the recordings glitch, I'm using a PB G4 right now and it tends to flake out with osx leopard while recording.
thanks
