I just finished recording the vocals for this song (it still needs editing), hope you'll like it!

I really enjoyed the track VCO. How did you go about recording the vocals? Mixing them in etc. I like the mix a lot

The whole thing sounds great. Vocals are great - both mix and quality of the singing.

Some times it sounds like the last word of each phrase is rushed - and I don't mean the overlapping edits (which are cool).

Music mix is nice too.

I'd also be interested in your vocal recording process. Mic used and any plugs.

Wow, thanks for all your nice words!

I used a cheap-a*s JJLabs C010B condenser mic and preamp'ed the signal through a JJLabs mixer and cut some bass and treble. In the DAW I did some further EQing (cut some bass and added a little crisp at the top), added a compressor and a de-esser. Then some autotune (just a little

). To make it sound beefier and fit into the mix I added two Korg MDE-X FX-plugins, one stereo chorus and one ensemble-effect, and set their mix level very low so that it won't sound "too 80s"

. Then some Korg MDE-X concert hall reverb and stereo delay.

No Juno-60 in this one..
Synths used: only software (in your face!

) - Synth1, homemade softsynths and some drum samples I tweaked

I have access to some of the Waves plugins through my school, so I used an RVox and a DeEsser on the vocals. Other than that it's mostly just some EQ and Korg MDE-X
