Wavestation/JD-800 movie soundtrack improvisation

Post by VCO » Sat Jun 23, 2007 11:07 pm

I recorded an improvisation the other day and thought I'd share it with you. It's sort of like a sci-fi movie soundtrack (Blade Runner-ish I guess ).
What I used recording this track:
Korg Legacy Collection Wavestation and Roland JD-800 (both controlled from the JD-800's keyboard) recorded onto tape using my Fostex R8 8-track tape recorder. Then I recorded the tape-recording to my computer, removed some noise and added some EQ.

Link: Wavestation/JD-800 Soundtrack
(and yes, I played an augmented fourth at 3:30 on purpose)

Any opinions? :D

It's give me pictures of some aliens who has landed with their spaceship in New York, after all the life on earth has died because of all the pollution...

Nice to hear it's not only me who are working oldschool...
I use to record my tracks on a 4 track tape recorder called Fostex X-15 Multitracker
A synthesizer will be for you what you want it to be...
