Also Sprach Zarathrustra

Highly simplified version of Richard Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathrusta", where emphasis is on rhythmic drive. Performed using Moog Modular V "Softsynth"....

Very interesting remake.

It sounds like something Edgar Froese and JMJ would come up with if they got together to do it.

Sounds good, keep up the good work!

On another note, that book was badass

Nothing expensive or special, but it works

ha ha ha nice one, i like it, very Sky!

the only thing i'd say is that the percussion loop could use a bit more variation, as it stands, it's a bit unrelenting for this kind of material. or perhaps that's how you wanted it?

I like it!

Good sounds. A bit "arcade" like.
Maybe some drum fill in's could be added indeed,
the orchestral version had these huge bass drums.
Rhythm turns group of sounds in to music.

Thanks :D :D for all of your comments.

Have to confess to this being a "accidental/serendiptious" recording and a tad knocked up. I agree the drums need some work on them, something we hope to remedy soon......still.....trying to understand the pysche of percussion people :)

That's good fun - I like reworkings like this. Plenty of pizzaz. I suppose you've listened to Carlos' Switched On Bach, but have you heard Patrick Gleeson's reworking of Holst's Planets, Beyond The Sun?

"Switched On Bach".....First thing anyone does when they purchase a Moog Modular V is go straight into Wendy Carlos mode :D

Thanks for the info on Patrick Gleeson. Cannot say I have encountered his work, but shall avidly check it out. From what I have seen he seems to be a ARP2600 user in the that's class......
