Hey guys, been working like a mad man on my new sound Electro Funk would best describe it.

Gear used Virus TI, Supernova, Juno 106, JP8000, Cwejman S1 MK2, Waldorf Micro Q, Nord Lead 2, Yamaha DX200, and some VSTis on my Apple.
Thanks in advance if you check them out.
PEACE

Re: New Electro Tunes Up!
this is nice!!! btw i had some of your tunes from somewhere, dont remember where, only 1 i remember the name of is funk nest
well I would say it is right up the electro funk alley, although George Clinton used synths much more sparingly then this and didn't really have repetitiveness in synthesizers. what synths did you use?

Re: New Electro Tunes Up!
This is cool, you've def found a genre to match Virus TI! Works.
You're a pro so maybe couple of notes are not unwelcome: how about making this even more tight & nasty. I'm talking about timing&groove (tight, sparse) and some sound decisions (more nasty would not hurt). Also, I'm hearing this tracked on soundstage live (PA) & mixed with the itb sound.
But this is nice indeed.

Thanks for listening . You lost me with that bro. What do you mean by "Also, I'm hearing this tracked on soundstage live (PA) & mixed with the itb sound. " ? Are you saying you could imagine it tracked live? Most of the keys were played live with out midi , just straight recorded live.memedesigner wrote:This is cool, you've def found a genre to match Virus TI! Works.

Re: New Electro Tunes Up!
Yup, track the whole thing live through PA and/or individual amps&cabinets in a nice room, close-up & room mics, through nice preamps to DAW/tape->DAW. This to bring that live funk and space. Mix itb with the DI'd and in-the-box-realized-synth-tracks as needed.
