2 new tracks

Post by Computer Controlled » Fri Feb 06, 2009 12:01 pm

Just finished 2 new tracks. One a mid-tempo dark Acid cut, and the other a minimal cut. Both utilize the MFB-503 for their drum sounds. Except for tek.Fnk, which ads sampled RZ-1 hhs and hc.

You can listen here: http://www.reverbnation.com/computercontrolled

They're the first 2 tracks in the player. Acid Tone and tek.Fnk.
Synths:
Avalon Bassline . TB-03 . JU-06 . MX-1 . Blofeld . MicroMonsta . Akai S5000
Drum Machines:
TR-09 . TR-8

well, to me, the first xox/303 lead is too far away in the background, and I don't quite like the reverb sound, but other than that, it brings up my pulse allright :) the second 303 line is more to my liking.. I see in your sig you've got several 303 machines, which one is doing which part? the MFB-503 sounds very good

Both acid lines are from my x0xb0xes. The modded one is the distorted line. I don't like having overdriven 303 lines in the foreground too much. They usually bury everything else around them. Especially when the resonance is driven. I prefer to keep those in mix further to allow other elements to play with it better.

Read lots of William Gibson do ya? :)

I agree that the lead sounds 'distant' in Acid Tone... other than that i like both.

wow this is great. as i said in another thread, i wish people around here liked acid at all or i would get my hands on a 303 or xoxbox as soon as i could. ive been in love with distorted acid lines ever since listening to da funk by daft punk.
