well the first album (the one for download) is all softsynths. i hope that doesnt make it any less cool! im really excited for the positive response! i used Nexus primarily. i also used rob papen's blue, NI's massive, reFX quadraSID, and vember audio's surge. random drum samples.
for the new album, im using half analog and half softsynths... and im trying to use all 80s era drum machines. the main synth part in the beginning of "fang bangers" and in the chorus is a Roland JX-10. the drums are Linn LM-2 samples. I use Logic with a FireBox on my MacBook Pro.
the new album will be called "Dance Decree" and its about halfway done. "Fang Bangers" is the only song ive released from that album... YouTube audio quality is not so great, so if you want, here's an MP3 link: http://www.zshare.net/download/5357493546633ac1/

i emailed the music supervisor for TrueBlood about Fang Bangers. he said it was very cool and if he found a place for it in season 2 he'd let me know. I don't know if hes being nice or if he seriously like it... but if anyone lives near KCRW in California, PLEASE REQUEST!!! i dont want to be poor forever

sounds didnt take that long-- the presets for nexus are really great and inspiring. i could always find something i wanted. i edited them to be perfect with the song OBVIOUSLY, but the sounds were great to begin with.
the songs themselves did take a while to perfect, but not too long. study long study wrong. i cant say enough about how important nexus was to this project, but i wont be using it anymore because im going for a different sound this next time.
I LOVE that YOU love this stuff, please share it with people... I'm really excited about it with no good way to spread it around.

Finally an artist that can live up to the claims of sounding '80s. Diggin' bro, diggin'. 8)
