more ambient techno dub stuff

Post by TrondC » Tue Nov 10, 2009 10:52 pm

first all elektron track (Machinedrum and Monomachine). I think it feels safe to sell out the rest of my gear and keep just this and buy something high-end like a Polar, Nord Modular g2 etc.

3 pattern jam this, gets quite messy, and I eff up the transitions etc. this is by no means finished work, I just thought I'd hear other musicians opinions on this sound. I've jammed for 4 hours and lost all judgement. this might sound poop for all I know. too technoid? too long? too bright? not enough variation? needs more cowbell? bring it

your comments will define the end result ;)

It sounds pretty good to me. Maybe more atmospherics at the beginning before you go into the beat and sequence?? I pretty much make all my songs out of jams too. Being in an improv band has completely erased all sense of song structure from both my instincts and my tastes.

thank you for listening.

what's odd is, that I've gone from a very structured form, to a more pattern-jam oriented way of working, and now I try to get the best of both worlds...
unfortunately, I now stash away my synths until atleast christmas, as the joys of having too many other things going on in my life just kicked in again, big time...
