Finished an album, at last!

Post by HH » Thu Jan 07, 2010 10:19 am

Hi everyone,

Having a goal to finish it before the new year and finally achieving it. It's the first 6 tracks.
Would love your thoughts: http://www.myspace.com/kimouts

best regards,

Very nice, I liked everything I heard.
Congratulations on setting a goal and achieving it.

I'm curious as to what equipment you used, recording software, sequencer and synths.
I thought I heard some modular stuff in there, to my ears some of it sounded like dot.com modules(which is a good thing) but could be wrong.

Hey seamonkey,

thanks a lot for kind words.

i've used this set-up: korg ms20 (which you've probably thought as a modular), roland juno 60, korg ms2000 and a roland xv2020 rompler. RME Multiface II soundcard. Sequencing and multitracking: Adobe audition and FL. And my outboard effects: symetrix 606/501, lexicon mpx500, midiverb II, patchbay (lol)

thanks

Sounds very good. I liked both the compositions and the sounds you made.
"In spaces" and "Flying with ducks" are particularly appealing to me.

Well ... it can be everything you want in your own mind. It does have that "Lego" feel in some tracks

Really a great sound you have...it is relaxing, never over-bearing. This is something that I would enjoy on vinyl.

thanks rharris07: that's what i was actually aiming with this. I love the sound of vinyl and achieving having something that sounds like its being played on one is quite hard
