Uridium - Brazilian 'amateur' Synth Group

Post by Garrettimus » Tue Jul 13, 2010 11:50 am

Dear friends,

My name is Marcus, a.k.a. Garrettimus, and I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Some friends and I have put together an amateur synth group called "Uridium" (named after a popular Commodore 64 game). We´re producing our very first album "Beyond the Shores of the Cosmic Ocean" with space-themed music. Inspiration comes from Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Giorgio Moroder, Tangerine Dream etc.

Basically, we´re using the following equipment: Roland SH-201, Microkorg, Yamaha PSR 400, MSSIAH (a MIDI cartridge for the Commodore 64) and an electric piano by Yamaha. We´re using also the following softwares: Reason 4, Ableton Live, and The Oddity (an emulated ARP Odyssey).

We´re neither professional musicians nor experienced players, but we love music. The proccess is taking too long for we´re unexperienced. LOL!

Here´s our MySpace page with some demo tracks: http://www.myspace.com/uridiumsynth

Here´s a video:

I´ll be in California in August and am looking forward to buying a real analog synth there.

Take care,

Marcus.

Oi Marcus,
