new industrial project, yay dotcom!

Post by thosquanta » Fri Mar 04, 2011 6:22 pm

so i think the whole album is up and streaming.

used a lot of dotcom with heavy slew rate for the leads (esp. "live with it") along with a prophet '08, and i got a surprising amount of use out of my sh-201 as well. who knew? the rest is reason synths - mostly used for the annoying, high pitched noises that i love dearly.

check it out, feel free to chime in and mock me for using occasional preset patches. :)

Dude, your work is f**k' good! I'm in an Industrial band too and yours is more (if you don't mind my saying so!) like a mix of Android Lust, Mushroomhead (Vocally a little!), Nitzer Ebb and Skinny Puppy! A very good sounding project man! "Monster" is one of my faves that I've listened to. Keep up the sick a*s work man!

oh! thanks! yeah, thosquanta is the main project. we've bounced around a LOT, genre-wise. i did a "country" album, some KMFDM ripoff metal-industrial stuff, and now we're basically a drunken punk band with a moog. my vocals have changed a lot lately, too - not doing the marylin manson groany thing anymore, trying to learn to more or less sing...

the side-project is as|of, which is going for more of the pure electro-industrial - nitzer ebb is pretty spot-on.

if you're doing similar, i am always down to trade remixes. :)

Yay, instead of grumpy gearless noobs, people squabbling over petty arguements,
► Show Spoiler
and nob twiddlers we have some one investing time in making music <3 Who cares if you use presets :D

You get a shiny gold star! and another one for creativity. Non traditional drum rythems for the win <3

this is cool. like the synth tones. what do you use to program your drums? they sound really good. very organic.

drums are done with reason, using mostly stock sounds. i have a couple sample banks i made with vintage drum machines and with remix discs from nin and haujobb. the main drum loop i believe i did on an MC-505 and just ran it through some processing.

thanks for listening!
