New old-school synthesizer video by Kebu

Post by kebu » Sun May 29, 2011 4:24 pm

Finally, my first official single as a solo artist is here!

Only analog synthesizer were used in recording the tune. The tune was also recorded by analog gear only and mixed with an analog mixer.

Equipment used and featured in the video: Korg Mono/Poly, Korg Poly-61, Moog Source, Logan String Melody, Arp Axxe, Touched by Sound DRM1, Roland TR-808, Electro Harmonix Polychorus, Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic, Allen&Heath GS1.

During recording also a Lexicon MPX500 and Yamaha MT4x multitracker were used. Cubase & Live were only used as MIDI sequencers with the tape sync handled by a Roland TR-626.

Enjoy!

Really nice stuff.
The video was also very watchable.

Sounds like the theme to an 80s video game (that's not a bad thing, btw). Cool stuff. You should've worn a white sequenced suit and a cape, though. ;)

Nice arpeggio's on the source! :D good to see someone who can really play but uses it in the right format (not showy, just relevant).

GREAT STUFF MAN !

I wish I had a synth setup like that in my small studio.

I also like your "alternative" style....

Good luck with your project !

Good stuff! Thoroughly enjoyed that.

And it's always encouraging to see another fellow synthesist who also sports a fine beard.
